Now in its 22nd year, the GSFF, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is a global destination festival that stimulates economic growth in NJ through the arts. It also promotes student creativity, makes the arts accessible to underserved populations, and preserves heritage arts. Since its inception, industry notables such as Bruce Springsteen, Glenn Close, Laura Dern, Matthew Modine, Christopher Lloyd, James Gandolfini, Clarence Clemons, Diane Ladd, Bebe Neuwirth, and our biggest supporter, the late Ed Asner, as well as others, have lent their support.

Diane Raver is the founder and has played a pivotal role in shaping the festival's vision and community engagement initiatives. March 21-24, 2024 GSFF rolls out the red carpet for a fusion of world premieres, Hollywood luminaries, and interactive industry panels. Positioned as a non-profit catalyst for economic growth, the festival is a beacon for Asbury Park’s cultural and commercial prosperity.

The festival is a celebration of diversity, creativity, and the art of storytelling, with a variety of films, engaging panels, live podcasts, and not-to-be-missed parties. The GSFF is a testament to New Jersey’s storied film history and a hub for producers, directors, actors, investors, and industry talents.

One of the biggest achievements of the GSFF owing to its revolution was in 2020 when we became a blueprint for festivals worldwide. Working with FS Digital we seamlessly developed and executed a last-minute switch to become a fully digital festival; creating and implementing a team to code and build a custom, virtual streaming and ticket platform within 11 days, becoming the first in the world to not postpone or cancel as acknowledged in British Vogue magazine.

As she continues to lead the organization into the future, Concar’s legacy as an innovative and visionary leader in the world of film festivals is sure to endure, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of New Jersey and beyond.
